   Things to do at Fernfield

Functions, Relax, Learn, Eat and Drink

There are many things to do here at Fernfield.
  • Local Producers Platters.  You can sit, enjoy, eat and drink while taking in the views, in the peace and quiet of Eden Valley.  Our Cellar door has redgum tables outside in the shade and plenty of lawns and views to enjoy.  There is a reason the town is called Eden Valley.  We have platters available all day with local produce - meats/dips/cheeses/olives.  You can buy a bottle or glass of wine and relax.  If Rebecca is around she will sing either blues, opera, romantic or jazz, whatever you like.

  • Stay and chat to the Winemakers (mother and son), or the Grapegrower (father) or the Marketer (daughter), depending on which family member is around.   You can always ring ahead and book.  We have alot of knowledge and if you want to learn how things work, we would love to show you.

  • Have a tour of our winery.  We do things the old fashioned way and it is really great to see a winery in action.  You wouldn't believe how much work goes into making a bottle of wine.

  • Functions: Our winery seats 30 people and catering is available. We will give you great wines, great company and entertainment, as Rebecca is a classically trained singer and is happy to perform.  It is so romantic to sit in a medieval type setting in between wine barrells.

  • Go the the Barossa Cheese Company in Angaston and become part of our 'food and wine' trail.  You will buy a few cheeses that match wines with a few wineries. The Cheese Company is located on the main street in Angaston, opposite Penrice road.
