Eden Valley Cellar Door

We are closed from Christmas Day till New Years Eve.  So open New Years Day

Please turn at Rushlea Rd, Eden Valley.  The street sign says "Fernfield Wines 1km".  Now this is the smallest sign ever in the world that the Barossa Council has given us, so look out for it.  Rushlea Road is right next to the Eden Valley Hotel.

Rushlea Homestead was the first house built in the township of Eden Valley by William Lillecrapp in 1866.

It was restored by great great grandson Bryce Lillecrapp and opened as a Bi-Centennial project in 1998. 

Our Cellar door is open at Rushlea Homestead 7 Days a week 10 am till 5 pm. Located on Rushlea Road Eden Valley (turn at the pub) and travel 1km down Rushlea Road. You will see our little village on the right hand side just as you hit the gravel road. One of the family members will be there to chat with you and taste wine.

Travelling From Adelaide via North East Road

• Follow North East Road from Tea Tree Plaza
• Turns into single lane road
• Follow through towns
• Inglewood
• Gumeracha
• Birdwood
• Mount Pleasant
• Springton
• Eden Valley

This will take you approximately 45minutes from Tea Tree Gully and approximately 1hr 15 minutes from the city.  When you reach the town of Eden Valley you will turn right at Rushlea Road, just before Eden Valley Hotel.  You will travel 1km up Rushlea Road and our gate is on the right opposite the Eden Valley Cemetary.

Travelling from Adelaide via Main North Road

• Follow Main North Road from City past Gawler
• Take either 1st or 2nd Nuriootpa Exit on your right, follow road till end
• Turn right and follow until you see Angaston turn off on your left just after BP service station. (if you go over railroad tracks past Penfolds you have gone too far)
• Follow road through town of Angaston (approx 5 min)
• When you get to the end of the main street in Angaston turn right.
• Follow that road (Eden Valley Rd) for 19km, approx 10-15 minutes till you reach Eden Valley
• Rushlea Road is the road on the left on the corner of the Eden Valley Hotel and the main street
• Travel 1km on Rushlea Road and our gate is on the right opposite the Cemetary
